Volunteer-led community basketball
Basketball for All!

Our mission is to provide affordable and fun team basketball for all. Starting out with team development for women and non-binary people. Potentially supporting the development of adult (18+) women + non-binary beginner, junior teams, or synchronised parent and child practices over weekend slots in future.

The club has ways to help with your basketball costs if needed: session fees, transport, child care etc – please ask.

For our club, 2024 was the founding year and represents a development period for our women’s and non-binary team – The Ravens. This team has structured training weeknight, will play friendly matches, enjoy some other special bball events, and entered the competitive Strathclyde local league (SLBA) for the 2024-2025 season. There is also a coach-led Sunday afternoon recreational practice open to all 18+ adult women and non-binary players and new members are first welcomed at this session.

Beyond on-court training, members meet for a range of enjoyable social activities, and can also access discounted tickets to attend WBBL and BBL matches with the Caledonian Gladiators.

To access up-to-date information please contact us, and join the Club on Spond (club code = MQWCD) or our WhatsApp Group.
